Biography
Haswandi Andy Mas is a Supreme Court certified advocate and certified mediator with more than two decades of legal practice. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, Bosowa University Makassar and began his legal career at the Makassar Legal Aid Institute (LBH Makassar), operating under the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI).
During his tenure at LBH Makassar, he ultimately served as Director from 2016 to 2020. He also served as an Advisory Board member and mentor at the Makassar Branch of the Indonesian Advocates Association Legal Aid Centre.
Throughout his career, he has handled a broad range of litigation and non-litigation matters involving land disputes, housing disputes, consumer protection, environmental law, criminal law, and corruption-related cases.
He is also recognized for his contribution to criminal justice reform through advocacy efforts that encouraged the adoption of restorative justice mechanisms in Makassar City, including the policy reflected in Mayor Regulation No. 91 of 2023.
